About the Wound & Hyperbaric Center
The Wound & Hyperbaric Center is part of founder Dr. Vinod Kumar’s dream to bring the best in wound, vascular and cardiac treatments to patients in Bakersfield.
Many people with diabetic and other vascular disease-related chronic wounds do not realize that they are at risk for amputation. And they do not realize that their wounds may have underlying vascular or cardiac causes.
And that’s exactly why we are here. Our goal is simple: to make Kern County amputation-free. No other organization shares this fundamental mission of preventing amputations.
And with our world-class methods and highly-trained staff, we are succeeding.
There is no other local facility that offers the same integrated, full-service, state-of-the-art solutions to wound, heart, and vascular care that you will find at the Wound & Hyperbaric Center.
Our World-Class Doctors & Staff
In reaching our goal of preventing amputation and providing the very best wound care, we cultivate an inviting atmosphere and a culture of expertise and service to patients.
A big part of this is employing doctors and wound care professionals who share these values and possess the skills necessary to provide this level of care.
Dr. Jennifer Lee, DPM, is a wound care specialist and podiatrist. She’s made a career of helping others improve their foot health and avoid amputation, even doing a residency at the Veterans Affairs Los Angeles Healthcare System and Olive View/UCLA Medical Center’s Limb Preservation Clinic.
Our staff regularly attends medical conferences and continues their education to stay current with the latest advancements in wound care. We then bring innovative treatments and technology back to Bakersfield
